Conveniently located halfway between Carmel & Big Sur just two miles off hwy 1 in the Redwood forest. You'll drive down a lovely serene forest road to a unique rustic geodesic dome home in the magical redwood forest where you can totally relax and enjoy the peace of this glorious forest.

This property has a colorful history dating back to the 20's to the 50's when it was "Hoffman's Resort" owned by Carabel & Lou Hoffman.
Carabel cooked Sunday dinners for guests staying in log cabins all over the property. She also wrote some of the most beautiful poetry which was published in local papers. The resort garnered rave reviews as people wrote in guest books about how they so loved staying in this magical and peaceful land in the forest.
Local artist Sofanya carries on this tradition with her art gallery in the lower dome and the Carabella's Theatre stage in the garden surrounded by redwoods where she occasionally holds special events.

#7. Romantic Carmel Nook
It's a STUDIO APARTMENT that is very large.It has one queen bed and two twins in the SAME ROOM. So if privacy is really important then this won't work. It has one luxurious bathroom and a simple kitchen. Cathedral ceilings with lots of skylights and a romantic wood burning fireplace. Only a short walk to the beach...it's by 6th and Dolores.
The apartment is on the second floor of the building so if you have problems with stairs, this is not the place for you. If you want to visit all the art galleries and walk to all the restaurants in town then this is the perfect place you have to stay. It's one of the cutest Carmel places around. The kitchen has two electric burners, a microwave, and a full fridge.
Note: This house won't be available for renting until June 10th or after. Rate: $350/night plus 10.5% tax and a $75 cleaning fee.
